About Us: Mission and Vision Statement
La Rosa Elementary School was completed just in time for the start of the 2006-2007 school-year, housing kindergarten through sixth grade students.
Where almond trees once stood, this school site now exists for the young students of the Ceres community.
La Rosa Elementary currently serves 555 students.
La Rosa Elementary School was named after the La Rosa family of Ceres. The La Rosa family originally owned the land upon which the school was built.
In 2011, the campus received the addition of two new buildings; an administration-library complex and an additional classroom wing. The new administration-library complex opened for use in October 2011. This new facility provides the staff a functional space to serve over 500 students enrolled at La Rosa Elementary. This facility also includes a meeting room to ensure confidentiality of student information during parent conferences.
The new instructional wing opened to students and teachers during the 2011- 2012 school year. This building houses a pre-school class, a severely handicapped kindergarten-first grade class, and a severely handicapped pre-school class, as well as restrooms for student use.
Our vision statement, Committed to Excellence, Responsive to Every Student is what we strive to do on a daily basis. Our district mission statement reflects the staff's commitment to our profession.
