Announcements & Events

Welcome returning & incoming La Rosa lions and families!

We hope you enjoyed your summer break and are excited for a school year full of new learning & new experiences!

Our first day of school is Wednesday, August 11th. It is a regular schedule day. School starts at 8:20 A.M. sharp.  Don’t be late!  The warning bell rings at 8:15 A.M. Students who arrive after the 8:20 A.M. bell will need to check in the office with staff to receive a tardy slip. The campus opens at 7:50 A.M. and students are directed to the cafeteria to be supervised by staff. Please do not drop your child before 7:50 A.M. since there is no adult supervision. Free breakfast is served from 7:50 A.M. to 8:10 A.M. in the cafeteria. The serving area closes promptly. Therefore, please plan accordingly so your child is not late to school.

Class lists for the new 2021-2022 school year will be displayed on Tuesday, August 10th from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. outside the La Rosa office. The lists will also be available the following day by 7:30 A.M.

Arrival Procedures:

Students will enter through the main gate in front of the school and walk into the cafeteria. Students will place their belongings on the blue rolling carts outside the cafeteria doors before entering the serving area. There will be designated tables for students eating/not eating breakfast. Students will be required to wear a face mask upon entering the building and when they are done eating their meal.

No Visitors On Campus At This Time:

Due to safety guidelines and COVID concerns, parents/guardians/volunteers/visitors will not be allowed on campus. However, TK/K parents will be allowed on campus for the first two days of school to assist their child with their transitioning of first-time. When entering the school office, you will be required to wear a face mask covering, regardless of vaccination status. Thank you for your cooperation with this matter.

Parking Lot:

Please use the main parking lot to park and/or drop off and pick up your children at school. Please do not stop/park in the fire lane. Also, do not leave your car unattended in the yellow lane zones. The small parking lot is only for buses, staff, and authorized vehicles. All vehicles parked in this lot will be required to have a school issued placard visible at all times.

Dismissal Procedures:

Avoid the traffic congestion!

TK/K students will be dismissed at 2:25 P.M. Grades 1-6 will be dismissed at 2:35 P.M. Keep in mind, the secondary school, Cesar Chavez across the street from La Rosa, is released at 2:10 P.M. You can either plan to arrive earlier than that time to find a parking spot or come after 2:35 P.M. to pick up your child. The ASES program will be running immediately after school until 6:00 P.M.
