Announcements & Events

Dear Families,                                                                                                           August 2022

Welcome to the 22-23 school year! I hope your summer was full of fun and relaxation! Our staff could not be more excited to begin the 2022-2023 school year with all of you and our students! As we reflect upon the 2021-2022 school year, we have a lot to be proud of. Mrs. Blythe Brown was named Teacher of the Year for La Rosa; we are so very grateful for her! We also had five of our amazing teachers retire: Carmen Walls (Kindergarten), Michelle Maher (First Grade), Ruth Ramsey (Third Grade), Alice Schemmel (Fourth Grade), and Rebeca Ottersbach (Education Specialist). We appreciate their impact on our students and families and wish them nothing but the best in this next chapter of their lives. Looking at the 22-23 school year, our primary focus will be on providing rigorous academic instruction. We will refocus our efforts on student attendance to decrease absences, tardies, and early checkouts while maintaining high levels of academic instruction to boost student achievement. Students will also be receiving brand new Chromebooks to help facilitate their learning and access to instructional materials. Here at La Rosa, we hope to continue to grow the partnerships that we have with our families and surrounding community to create the best possible experiences for our students. We look forward to all that this school year has to offer and look forward to welcoming students on August 10, 2022! If you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact the office at (209) 556-1660.
